Dear Friends:
Since we started this blog last year, the Bike Miami Days Team has launched the Southeast’s first cyclovia, Bike Miami Rides, held three city bicycle summits, celebrated the adoption of the Bicycle Action and Bicycle Master Plans, expanded the City’s Bicycle Action Committee, taken our news to Facebook, brought cycling information to almost 60,000 of you, and created the Miami Bicycle Coalition.
It has been a proud year for the Miami bicycling community.
This week, our leader and friend, Mayor Manny Diaz, steps down as Mayor of the City of Miami. Our new mayor, Tomas Regalado, needs to hear from you about why cycling is important. PLEASE email him at TRegalado@miamigov.com and let him know that you support Commissioner Sarnoff’s goal to keep Bike Miami Days and the City’s bicycling programs.
Please, take a moment to support better, safer, increased cycling in the City of Miami. Thank you.
We’d also like to thank our friends and fellow blogger/riders at TransitMiami.com, SpokesnFolks.blogspot.com, SlowBikeMiami.com and MiamiBikeScene.blogspot.com- They have helped us to make this blog readable, provided news and information beyond the scope of the City of Miami, and shared our message with the blogosphere. We encourage you to view their blogs and subscribe, too, for the best in local news and bicycling-friendly events.
Does this mean the end? No! Your humble blogger will continu updating you all through my facebook pages. Keep your eye out for the Miami Bicycle Coalition and if when Bike Miami Days returns, so will this blog.
All the best,
Bike Miami Days Team Coordinator
Office of Mayor Manny Diaz, City of Miami

Thanks for all the hard work. We’ll carry the banner in the meantime, and have it ready for when Bike Miami comes back strong, if not stronger.
