So what is Bike Miami Days really all about?
It’s about repurposing urban streets for you and your family to enjoy. It’s about exploring the city in a new way, meeting your neighbors, playing, bike riding, dancing, and meandering with family and friends. BMD is not a race, you can start wherever you like and you do not need a bicycle to have a great time.
Should I bring my kids?
Yes!! Free & Family-Friendly is what this community event is all about. Why not bring the whole family?! You can walk, rollerskate, razor scooter, stroller and, of course, bike the streets, parks and waterfront of Downtown Miami.
Ever thought of riding tandem with your child? Check out the BuddyBikes stationed by the *free* Bike Valet at Mary Brickell Village. There will be an entire area dedicated to entertaining kids there, too, featuring live music, a bounce house, arts & crafts and more. When was the last time you took your kids to walk along the water? Explore Bayfront Park and the new, extended Miami RiverWalk for some beautiful paths to enjoy.
I’m driving my car- where can I park for Bike Miami Days? Park at Mary Brickell Village (on SE 10th st just west of S. Miami Ave) for $3 all day.
There is NO official ’start’ or ‘end’ along the route.
Some groups are riding to the event from all over the City. They include: Emerge Miami, Critical Mass, MIA Fixed and the Everglades Bicycle Club.

It would be my first time ever to go cycling with a group of people. May I go if im not a memeber of your cycling group?
Absolutely! Bike Miami Days are about exploring the city in a new way. There is no starting point and you can come by bike, on foot, by skateboard… If you are interested in learning about cycling groups, the Everglades Bicycle Club, Critical Mass, Emerge Miami, and the Green Mobility Network will all be around to talk rides with you. Thanks for asking!

So after the October 4th event, no more Bike Miami initiative? Are there future plans to keep the momentum alive?
Lots and lots of plans! We hope that the movement continues without Mayor Manny Diaz and the team promises to continue to support it and similar car-free community events in the City.
Is there still a need for volunteers? Where can I go on the day to volunteer?
What is the start time and location this month? Are the full festivities occuring every month they have this?
Bike Miami Days is on hold right now. We are still hosting Bike Miami Rides, community rides with City of Miami Police and volunteers. Learn more by clicking on the “Bike Miami Rides” tab. Next Ride is this Sunday, 8:30am, beginning at City Hall.
